Along with Brooke Ishibashi, Jennifer Makholm, and Matthew Lee Erlbach, I began a grassroots campaign to unite the entire Arts & Culture sector of the United States to campaign TOGETHER for federal relief. The Arts & Culture sector employs 5.1 million Americans, brings $877 Billion in value added to the U.S. economy and is 4.5% of GDP. It’s a bigger sector than Transportation, Tourism, and Agriculture. Right now over 2.7 million Arts Workers are completely unemployed and Arts related businesses and organizations are shuttering for good every day. There can be no American economic recovery without an Arts recovery. We are a sector that is too big to fail. Together, we won’t.
